The National Cancer Institute has become one of the participants  in the  "German-Egyptian  Science year 2007" This framework of  Science & Technology will enable joint research in medical science as well

as exchanges in the field of post graduate education.

The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer issues every year the list of centers that are still affiliated to it.

This year 2007 the NCI ,Cairo University remains one of the affiliated centers. All affiliated countries are from Europe and Egypt is the only country from outside Europe

 pathology department

The minister of higher education issued a decision (No. 1221) regarding splitting the medical statistics unit from the pathology department to become a department of it's own which is named the department of medical statistics and cancer epidemics. And issued a decision (No. 1324) to appoint Prof. Dr. Inas Elattar as head of the new department.

The Unit provides pre-study statistical consultations & analysis for all medical papers and statistical analysis and validations for all medical work.
